Description

Environment Resistance

Compact & Rugged body is resistant to Shock and Drop

Small, light-weight instruments are subject to being dropped during transportation, falls from work tables, and during field use. For this reason, the RM1100 was powered operational and drop tested from one (1) meter onto a flat metal plate that indicates dropping once with impact on any plane (6 planes), corner (8 corners) or edge (12 edges) remains continuous performance under tough handling conditions and the heavy-duty design*.

 

Strong Vibration Resistance is Ideal for Automotive On-road Testing

RM1100 is compliant with U.S. standard MIL-STD-810G 514.5C-1 that is often required for vehicle driving tests and other heavy vibration environments.

 

IP41 for measurement in dusty and humid conditions

The RM1100 was tested to comply with the IEC60529 standard and has high level of protection against human body parts (fingers, etc.), solids <1mm and liquids (IP41). An optional Splash-resistant Cover (Model RM11-402) protects input terminals and power connector from dust and water-splash allowing RM1100 use in dust, iron powder, and hydraulic machine environments.

 

Measurements in Severe Temperatures from -20ºC to + 60ºC (-4°F to + 140°F)

With the RM1100 extended operating temperature range it is possible to measure thermostatic ovens, cold storage warehouses, in close proximity to industrial furnaces, perform vehicle driving measurements in the cold of winter or heat of the desert. For automobile driving tests the RM1100 is easily mounted in-vehicle and data acquired immediately upon starting the engine.

Isolated Temperature/Voltage Input (8-ch)

  • Max of 8 channels can be measured at fast sampling rate (Temp, voltage, etc.)
    RM1101 : 4 channels (temp and voltage) + 4 (logic)
    RM1102 : 8 channels (temp and voltage) + 4 (logic)

For temperature data, exclusive M3 screw terminals allow easy attachment/removal of thermocouples.
