Description

Fluxmeter FLUX-CHECK 250
Incomparable compact fluxmeter as a hand-held measuring device for determining the magnetic flux

The compact List-Magnetik FLUX-CHECK 250 is a new, handheld fluxmeter for measuring the magnetic flux (Φ/Phi) of magnet systems and individual magnets. This innovative device provides an accurate method for testing ferromagnetic materials and is ideal for material analysis and testing in various applications.

When testing a permanent magnet or magnetic system, the quality and strength of the magnet's magnetization are crucial. Using a magnetic field meter to measure the magnetic field strength is only possible at specific points and does not account for the magnet's volume. A fluxmeter with a Helmholtz coil can perform this task by enabling precise, volumetric measurement of the entire magnetic field.

The Helmholtz torque coil is optionally available with the fluxmeter
When used with the List-Magnetik Helmholtz torque coil HM-2, the magnetic flux of permanent magnets can be measured very precisely because the entire magnet volume is measured, regardless of its position. The magnet's effect on the coil is determined as an electrical voltage and converted into a flux value. In addition to the HM-2 coil, the device can connect to all types of coils or coil probes, enabling a high degree of flexibility in ferromagnetic material testing and analysis.

Graphical integral of the pulse curve
Recording the pulse curve of the flow measurement results in an area that determines the flow value as an integral. This area is displayed on the 320x480 pixel LCD touch panel, and the correct flux value is calculated from it. Technically speaking, the FLUX-CHECK 250 is an electronic analog voltage integrator.

No drift
Unlike many fluxmeters, the FLUX-CHECK 250 does not suffer from drift after being switched on, which leads to a longer wait time for the first measurement or requires repeated compensation during the measurement series. Instead, a trigger value is specified at which point the measurement begins. The previous drift value is automatically taken as the zero value. The device is ready to measure as soon as it is turned on, enabling quick and reliable material testing and analysis without wasting time on constant drift compensation.

Real flux, Magnetic moment, Flux density
In addition to the magnetic flux (Φ), the device can record further information on the coil and the measured magnet. This data can be used to make additional calculations that support material analysis and precise testing of permanent magnets and other magnetic systems.

The number of coil turns (n) — the "real flux" — is calculated from this.
The coil constant of the Helmholtz coil is used to calculate the "magnetic moment."
The volume of the magnet determines the flux density B.

Data logger and interface
The device supports you with flexible memory for measured values, a combined digital and analog display, and the ability to measure peak values. Thanks to the wireless Bluetooth interface, data can be transferred to Windows PCs, as well as to Android and iOS apps. The device can be connected to an external power source via the USB interface.

The device has an SCPI interface that allows it to carry out remote-controlled measurements and deliver measured values in line operation. The USB connection simultaneously ensures the power supply and guarantees continuous operation.

Manage and send measurement data with a free application
To further process your measurement data, you can pair your measuring device with mobile Android and iOS devices. Or you communicate with a Windows PC. This is made possible by wireless technology. With the Lima Connect app you can manage projects and assign the measuring points on a photo. The measurement results can be statistically evaluated and displayed graphically. The app for Android, iOS and Windows is free.

Helmholtz Moment Coil HM-1
The Helmholtz Torque Coil HM-1 is a coil made of a plastic cylinder with an inner diameter of 90 mm, with which you can measure the magnetic flux of a magnet on the FLUX-CHECK 250 Fluxmeter. The position of the magnet can be seen from all sides through the observation hole.

A Helmholtz coil is a special coil structure that produces a homogeneous magnetic field. The radius and distance between the two coils must be the same. The fields of the two coils are superimposed so that an almost homogeneous field is produced in the central area of the coil along an imaginary axis between the centers of the circles.
