TOR-8 tester for residual gas content of insulating oil
The TOR-8 tester is used to measure dissolved gases in insulating oils during the degassing process in degassing machines. Its main purpose is to accurately evaluate the efficiency of gas removal from transformer oil, allowing professionals to monitor the degassing rate and ensure proper oil treatment. The measurement process takes up to 10 minutes, and the device includes an integrated thermal printer for printing results. The TOR-8 is widely used by companies involved in the installation, repair, and operation of transformer oil systems, making it an essential tool for maintaining and servicing transformer equipment.

Transformer oil degassing is necessary for the removal of dissolved gases which improves the insulating properties of oil, as well as prevents corrosion and wear of power-generating equipment. TOR-8 instrument is used in the processes of removing dissolved gases from insulating oils (oil degassing) in degassing machines. Its main purpose is to facilitate measuring the efficiency of the degassing procedures performed by these machines. Principle of operation
The principle of the instrument's operation is based on recording a change in gas pressure inside a cylinder under vacuum when it is filled with a portion of oil. Knowing the volumes of the cylinder and the oil filled, the pressure values ""inside the cylinder before and after filling, it is possible to determine the volumetric gas content.

The residual gas content is measured during operation of the degassing machine.
