Testerul portabil de izolaţie şi continuitate de înaltă tensiune MIT2500 a fost conceput pentru testarea motoarelor şi cablurilor, aplicaţii specializate şi aplicaţii de testare electrică, unde tensiunile de funcţionare depășesc 1000 V şi sunt necesare tensiuni de testare a izolaţiei mai mari.

MIT2500 oferă atât tensiuni fixe de 50 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, 1000 V şi 2500 V, cât şi un interval variabil care permite �reglarea” oricărei tensiuni între 50 V şi 2500 V. Acest lucru este susţinut de noul control al feedback-ului tensiunii de testare, care menţine tensiunea de testare de ieşire în limita a 2% din intervalul selectat, chiar şi atunci când este testată. Tensiunea de testare a izolaţiei controlată prin feedback este acum precisă de +2% -0% faţă de +20% iniţial, oferind o tensiune de testare mai precisă, fără riscul de deteriorare a circuitelor din cauza supratensiuniei. Un interval variabil permite selectarea tensiunii exacte de testare de la 50 V la 999 V în trepte de 1 V (1 kV la 2,5 kV în trepte de 10 V), oferind 1100 de opţiuni de tensiune de testare.

MIT2500 folosește o carcasă, un suport posterior şi un compartiment pentru baterii cu șase celule reproiectate, precum şi un terminal de protecţie încorporat pentru a reduce curenţii de scurgere de suprafaţă care reduc precizia la tensiuni mai mari. Toate instrumentele sunt supraturnate pentru o protecţie sporită şi au un grad de protecţie împotriva intemperiilor IP54.
